Yndalecio Paredes, age 73, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, August, 6, 2015, at Rush Internal Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Centro Christiano Church in Washington, Iowa, with Rev. Ramiro Hernandez officiating. Calling hours will begin 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. Yndalecio was born on May 17, 1942, in Mexico, the son of Casimiro and Manuela (Lara) Paredes. He was united in marriage to Maria Vega Rodriguez on December 4, 1964. Yndalecio and Maria recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
After moving to the United States, Yndalecio worked at Tyson Foods and West Liberty Foods. He had previously worked in the fields for area farmers. He attended Centro Christiano Church in Washington, Iowa. Yndalecio enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and telling stories to his children. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maria Paredes of Washington, Iowa; son, Joel Paredes and wife Leticia of Orlando, Florida; son, Armando Paredes of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Alma Paredes and husband Estaban Lara of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Enriqueta Paredes and husband Martin Cardenas of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Maribel Peralta and husband Sergio of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; daughter, Leticia Camarena and husband Javier of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; daughter, Rubi Paredes and fiancé Eduardo Barahona of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; ten grandchildren and one great grandson. Yndalecio is also survived by three sisters, Filogonia Paredes of Chicago, Illinois; Eustolia Paredes of Mexico; and Domitila Paredes of Mexico; as well as three brothers, Alfredo Paredes of Texas, Sacramento Paredes of Mexico and Froilan Paredes of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paulino and Casimiro Paredes .
