Willard Dale "Tuff" Leffler, age 73, of Hedrick, Iowa, formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, November 09, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital following a short illness.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Willard was born June 15, 1943, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Daryl "Red" and Florence (Amlong) Leffler. He attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1961.

Willard lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa, prior to moving to Hedrick in 2006. He worked at Crane Valves and Northrup King Co. in Washington. Willard enjoyed attending auctions and taking care of his small farm animals.

He is survived by one brother, Ira Leffler and wife Jacqueline of McKenzie, Tennessee; nephews, John Shull and wife Tomi of Hedrick, Iowa; Fred Shull of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Ernie Shull of Ottumwa; niece Tammy Johnson and husband Jeff of Gleason, Tennessee; nephew, Neal Leffler of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; nephew, Dwayne Leffler and wife Lori of Washington, Iowa; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell Leffler; sister, Sue Shull; and brother-in-law, Leroy Shull.
