Vicki Lynn Bailey, age 67, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Friday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 Friday evening. Interment will take place at the Valley Cemetery in rural Washington County. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Washington County. Vicki was born January 25, 1949, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Orin and Ruth (Martin) Carr. She graduated from Highland High School in 1967. Vicki was united in marriage to Robert "Dean" Bailey on November 20, 1971.

Vicki worked at McCleery Cumming Calendar Factory in Washington for thirty years and later worked at the University of Iowa Hospital for ten years. She was very active with Boy Scout Troop 242. She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. Vicki enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert "Dean" Bailey of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Carol Blodgett and husband Roger and children Alex, Adam and Andrew of Pryor, Oklahoma; son, Robert Bailey and wife Mary and their children Erin and Mark; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Bailey and son Caleb of Burlington, Vermont; mother, Ruth Carr of Kalona, Iowa; brother, William Carr and wife Mary of Wilton, Iowa; brother, Dennis Carr and wife Janice of Washington, Iowa; and sister, Donna Hunter and husband Gerald of Washington, Iowa.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father in 2001 and son, Steven Bailey in 2013.
