Vera D. Fuller, age 88, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington, Iowa.

Vera supported medical education and research at the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology by being a donor to the Deeded Body Program. No services are planned at this time. Vera was born April 30, 1930, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Orrin C. and Ethel S. (Rife) Phillips. She attended school in Muscatine and graduated from Muscatine High School in 1948. Vera was united in marriage to Gene A. Fuller on June 2, 1950, in Muscatine, Iowa.

Vera lived most of her life in Muscatine, Iowa, moving to Washington, Iowa, in 2015. She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Trevarthen for 14 years until her retirement. Following retirement, Vera and Gene went on annual mission trips to Brazil to provide free dental care to children. She enjoyed playing cards and antiquing. She and Gene belonged to the Model T. Ford Club of America for many years.

She is survived by her son, Joel Fuller and wife Dianne "Myrtle" of Muscatine, Iowa; daughter, Julie Tinnes and husband Doug of Keota, Iowa; son, John Fuller and wife Darla of Muscatine, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2012; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and six brothers and sisters.
