Verlin Thomas "Tom" Hill, age 48, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at All American Care in Muscatine following a six month battle with cancer.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21st at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Captain Alex Velasquez officiating. Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Wisconsin. Tom was born April 28, 1965 in Saldi, Colorado, the son of Verlin and Kathy (Drajeske) Hill. He attended school in Washington, Iowa. Tom was married to Carrie Pierson and was later married to Janette Hill.

He lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa. Tom lived in Davenport, Iowa at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and has resided in Muscatine for the past six months. Tom was an avid Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, drawing and putting model cars together.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Amanda Martinez and husband Emil; daughter, Cheyanne Hill; daughter, Samantha Hill; son, Jacob Hill; two grandchildren, Jayden and Lily Martinez; step father, Tom McKeone; half sister, Sonney Hill; step brother, Tom J. McKeone and wife Alexandra; step brother, Jim McKeone and wife Medea; aunt, Karen Artin and husband Dave; aunt, Lynda Downer; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Don Rabenold.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Thomas Hill, step brother, Mike McKeone, step sister, Charlotte McKeone;and several aunts and uncles.
