Terry Wayne "Spook" Hesseltine, age 53, of Washington, IA, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his residence.

Terry was born August 2, 1963 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Wayne and Peggy (Shelby) Hesseltine. He attended school in Washington. Terry was united in marriage to Doris Bajner in 1982. They later divorced.

Terry worked at the Kalona Cheese Factory for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Robert (Tasha) Hesseltine of Washington, IA; Justin Hesseltine (Nikole Scott) of Washington, IA; Elizabeth (John) Adrian of Grinnell, IA; 6 grandchildren: Ashlyn, Tyler, Adryanna, Payton, Echo and Star; and siblings: Jody Sinker of Washington, IA; Freeman Sinker of Washington, IA; Ruby Faye Sinker of CA; Rhonda Woods of Wayland, IA; Pam (Dennis) Zielstorf of Brighton, IA; Steve (Jennifer) Kerr of NE; Chris (Chad) Kauffman of Washington, IA; Diane (Craig) Ritter of Greene, IA; and Dawn Renee (Daniel) Vasquez of Washington, IA.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; step-mom, Jean Hesseltine; and grandparents.
