Susan Darlene “Sue” Manning, age 80, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her residence under hospice care.

A graveside service will take place at Cottonwood Cemetery on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Sue’s family at www.jonesfh.com

Sue was born on March 27, 1945, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William David and Margaret Frances (Votruba) Vinton. She attended school in Washington, and on February 20, 1970, Sue was united in marriage to Larry Manning.

Sue was a lifelong resident of Washington. She worked as a stripper at the McCleary Cumming Calendar Factory for 23 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy K. Valentine of Ainsworth, Iowa; daughter, Danna M. (Rusty) Knerr of Washington, Iowa; and son, Larry A. Manning Jr. of Washington, Iowa; along with eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Larry, in 2011.
