Stony Guy Scott, age 54, of Washington, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Stony was born February 7, 1963 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Benjamin and Faye (Martin) Scott. He attended school in Washington.

Stony was a roofer for 20 years and most recently worked at the golf course in Washington. He enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, camping and music. He loved spending time with his friends and his family, especially his children and granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Nikole Scott of Washington, IA; Kolette Scott of Ottumwa, IA; Benjamin Scott of Washington, IA; Jesse Scott of Washington, IA; and Madison Scott of Keota, IA; step-son, Taylor Stout of Keota, IA; granddaughter, Star Hesseltine; mother, Faye Scott of Washington, IA; siblings: Vicki Myers of North Liberty, IA; Timmy Scott of Washington, IA; Rocky Scott of Colorado; Michael Scott and wife Denise of Anamosa, IA; Karen Hitchcock and husband Kenny of Rock Island, IL; and Shirley Hess and husband Marshall of Virginia; girlfriend, Rhonda Simpson of Washington, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

Stony was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Scott.
