Stanley Lou Bauer, age 80, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Halcyon House in Washington.

A memorial visitation with the family present will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26th at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Private family interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County. Stan was born November 28, 1940 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Clark and Dorothy (Rinner) Bauer. He graduated from West Chester High School and South Eastern Junior College. Stan was united in marriage to Connie A. Liebe on December 26, 1987, in Washington, Iowa.

Stan worked as a Seed Salesman for Pioneer for 28 years, until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Connie A. Bauer of Washington, IA; daughter, Sheryl Shewman and husband Dan of Centennial, CO; step-children: Jeff Liebe and wife Sandra of Paris, IL; Cherie Murphy of Riverside, IA; Steve Liebe and wife Barb of Washington, IA; Randy Liebe and wife Jacque of Fairfield, IA; Shelley Sides and husband Derrick of Muscatine, IA; and Patti Roth of Riverside, IA; step-grandchildren: Taylor Liebe, Stephanie (Rob) Liebhart, Alicia (Justin) Greiner, Amanda (Victor) Owusu-Akyaw; Erin Liebe, Grant (Mayra) Liebe; Demi (JR) Hendricks, Ian Sides, Nathan Sides and Justin Roth; and step-great-grandchildren: James Greiner, Charley Greiner, Olivia Owusu-Akyaw, Joseph Owusu-Akyaw, Nicholas Liebe and Jade Hendricks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherry Bauer; step-son, Mike Liebe; step-granddaughter, Alexis Marie Liebe.
