Spencer Ray Adam, age 25, of Richland, Iowa, died Monday, January 14, 2019, in rural Henry County from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 18, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield with Fr. Nick Adam officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church where the family will receive friends. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for his daughter Ellie at Federation Bank in Richland, or the Richland Fire Department. Spencer was born August 25, 1993, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Doug and Cindy (Lauderman) Adam. He graduated from Pekin High School in 2012.

Spencer was a welder for Kinze Manufacturing and farmed and raised hogs in the Packwood area with his family. He was a Volunteer Firefighter in Richland and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.

He is survived by the love of his life, Emily Ellis of Richland, IA; daughter, Ellie Adam; mother, Cindy Adam of Richland, IA; father, Doug Adam and wife Michelle of Packwood, IA; brother; Darin Adam of Pekin, IA; brother, Tanner Adam and wife Gretchen of Richland, IA; step-brothers: Payton, Preston, Parker and Pryce Rochford of Manchester, IA; uncle, Bryan Lauderman and wife Bobbi of Pleasant Plain, IA; uncle, Brad Lauderman and wife Mandi of Pleasant Plain, IA; aunt, Kathy Davis and husband John of Niceville, FL; aunt, Suzie Kelly and husband Bob of Huntington Beach, CA; aunt, Nancy Horras and husband Jim of Fairfield, IA; aunt, Shirley Smith and husband Dan of Westport, CT; uncle, Dean Adam and wife Cheryl of Batavia, IA; and many cousins and friends.

Spencer was preceded in death by a stillborn child; maternal grandparents, Larry and Janice Lauderman; paternal grandparents, Richard and Marlys Adam; uncle, David Adam and wife Cathy; and uncle, Darin Lauderman.
