Sheila Lynne Boese, age 49, of Clear Lake, Iowa, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at her residence in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, with Pastor Scott Roser officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home . Interment will take place at a later date. Memorials have been established for the NAMI Foundation (National Association for Mental Illness). The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Sheila was born October 11, 1968, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Arley Dean and Mary Gail (Dankof) Boese. She graduated from WACO High School in 1987 and attended South Eastern Community College in Burlington. Sheila received her Registered Nursing Degree from Kirkwood Community College.

She has lived in Wayland, Washington, and Ames, Iowa and lived most of her life in Rochester, MN, before moving to Clear Lake, Iowa. She was a Registered Nurse at Washington County Hospital, Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa, and at the Mayo Clinic – St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Sheila worked as an E.R. Flight Nurse for Life Link Medical Transport Company. She enjoyed doing design projects, spending time with her dog, Daisy, and playing the violin.

She is survived by her mom and step dad, Mary Gail and Tom Lyons of Washington, Iowa; sister, Brenda Boese of Iowa City, Iowa; brother, Brent Boese of Vinemont, Alabama; step brother, Joseph Lyons of Madrid, Spain; and one niece, Addison VanDePol of Iowa City, Iowa.

Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Arley Boese in 2014; maternal grandparents, Ruth and Darrell Dankof; and paternal grandparents, Albert and Anna Boese.
