Sandra Lucille Ossman, age 64, of Ainsworth, Iowa, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Fr. Bernie Weir officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery. Sandy was born September 21, 1955 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Carroll and Darlene (Anderson) Marshall. She graduated from Durant High School in 1974. Sandy married Michael Crist and they later divorced. She was united in marriage to David Ossman on April 4, 1987 in Washington, Iowa.

Sandy owned Country Essence Catering Company for several years and was a devoted farm wife and homemaker. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church and served on the St. James School Board. Sandy was a cheerleading coach at the Washington High School and helped with high school track meets. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, antiquing and trips with her friends. Sandy loved living in the country on the farm with her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband, David Ossman of Ainsworth, IA; son, Nathun Crist of Urbandale, IA; daughter, Mandy Ossman of Marion, IA; daughter, Abby Gaskill and husband Luke of Minnetonka, MN; son, Anthony Ossman and wife Paiton of Washington, IA; and 8 grandchildren: Hayden, Christian, Kai, Harper, Vera, Jade, Jack and Hattie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Bonnie; son, Adam Michael Crist; and brother, Jeff Marshall.
