Sandra S. Dalziel, age 80, of Ainsworth, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at her residence after failing in health for the past 10 months.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Monday evening. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County. Sandra was born June 26, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Shelby Russell "S.R." and Madge A. (Hepner) Robinson. She graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1960. Sandra was united in marriage to Roger Dalziel on December 30, 1965.
Sandra lived in Washington County and Johnson County her entire life. She worked at the Washington County Treasurer's office for ten years and later worked as a bookkeeper for Sears in Washington. Sandra lastly worked at the Johnson County Treasurer's office for 22 years retiring in1998. She enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona, where she enjoyed playing darts. She enjoyed sewing, taking care of her roses and watching hummingbirds. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara "Barb" LaMar of Washington, Iowa; son, William "Bill" Dalziel and wife Kristina of Ainsworth, Iowa; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger, in 1998; and one brother, Wayne "Red' Robinson.
