Ruth Ann Kelly, age 55, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals following a short illness.

Ruth Ann was born July 1, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Bill and Donna Nelson. She attended school in Burlington, Iowa. Ruth Ann was united in marriage to Ray Kelly on March 28, 1975. They renewed their vows on February 14, 1991.

Ruth Ann was a homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, watching birds and going to garage sales. She was a loving mother and wife and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Kelly of Washington, Iowa; son, Brian Kelly and wife Brandi of Fort Madison, Iowa; son, Kevin Kelly of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Stacy Burke and husband Joe of Washington, Iowa; four grandchildren; mother, Donna Cline of Washington, Iowa; brother, Bill Nelson and wife Sharrelle of Columbus Junction, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her father, Bill Nelson and her step-father, Kenny Cline and her grandparents.
