Ruth Elizabeth Bartow, age 91, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with Pastor Anthony DeVaughn officiating. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for the family at www.jonesfh.com .

Ruth was born October 24, 1931, in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Estelle (Kuyper) Bartow. She attended school in Washington and Mt. Pleasant and following graduation she attended college in Colorado.

Ruth lived most of her life in Washington. She previously lived in Chicago, Illinois, and Davenport, Iowa. She worked as a secretary during her working years. Ruth was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her nephew, Greg (Valerie) Prickett; nephew, Ted (Yvonne) Prickett; and niece Diane (Tom) Biehl all of East Moline, Illinois.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Geraldine Prickett.
