Russell A. Wich, age 64 of Washington, Ia transitioned on Tuesday July 20th 2021 at Aspire Health Center of Washington Iowa.

Russell wasn't just a resident he was also a friend and was loved like family by all who were blessed to know him.

Russell greeted each of us with not only an amazing smile but also an unforgettable embrace as he hugged each of us daily!

Russell spent his days sitting at his favorite corner of the hall intersection where he would laugh with everyone, smile and of course as most families do he would enjoy many snacks and his favorite foods with us; such as pizza, chicken n biscuits and of course Cookie monster donuts.

Russell was very intelligent, funny and unique. His observation for small details was astounding! He always noticed any new hairstyles, uniforms or shoes any of us got and he would always compliment us on them. He was also well known for his informative ways; as staff passed by he would let us know which direction each of us went (as though he was directing traffic) he would then laugh as we joked and thanked him for his directions.

Russell had many great qualities and characteristics that we will forever remember and cherish about him. His hugs, his smile and his laughter are just to name a few but the greatest one will always be his love for Mickey and Minnie; it will hold him close to our hearts although we can no longer hug him in our arms.
