Ronna Jean Sojka, age 72, of Riverside, Iowa, died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at her home.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Hartwig officiating. Interment will take place at the Riverside Public Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City, Iowa, and Hospice Compassus. Ronna was born October 22, 1950, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Clayton and Jeanette (Blum) Sexton. She graduated from Highland High School in 1968. Ronna was united in marriage to Steven Sojka on September 22, 1968, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Ronna has lived in the Riverside area her entire life. She worked as the office manager for Stumpf Construction for 30 years, retiring in 2021. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ronna enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, going on nature hikes, and baking. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Ronna is survived by her husband, Steve of Riverside, Iowa; daughter, Tina (Chris) McGee of Des Moines, Iowa; son, Gabe (Pam) Sojka of Minnetonka, Minnesota; granddaughter, Anja Sojka; grandson; Leos Sojka; siblings, Robert (Carol) Sexton; Ronald (Theresa) Sexton; Randy (Laurie) Sexton; Rebecca (Paul) LaRoche; Rita (Gary) Yoder all of Riverside, Iowa, & Renee Sexton of Kansas City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Charlotte Sojka of Iowa City, Iowa; brother-in-law, Perry Sojka and friend Toni of Washington, Iowa; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Sexton and sister-in-law, Lorilynn Sexton.
