Robert "Bobby" Paul Nardy, Jr., age 59, of Bloomfield, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Hospice of Wapello County Facility in Ottumwa, Iowa, following a four-month battle with cancer.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Dave Schooley and Pastor Matthew Froah officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Bobby was born March 11, 1957 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Robert Paul and Dorothy (Becknel) Nardy. He graduated from Washington High School in 1975 and attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville where he studied Environmental Science. Bobby was united in marriage to Sonia Graves on May 26, 1985, in Tennessee. They later divorced.
Bobby operated his own Real Estate Brokerage Firm in Florida. He later worked as a car salesman in the Quad Cities. He enjoyed golfing, boating and water activities. Bobby was a sports enthusiast and an avid Iowa Hawkeye and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Jesse Jo Nardy of Jacksonville, Florida; father, Robert Nardy and wife Carrol of Washington, Iowa; sister, Debbie Schooley and husband Phil of Bloomfield, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Nardy.
