Robert Keith "Bob" Smith, age 66, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, at Aspire of Washington.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph and Larry Brown officiating. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for Bob's family at www.jonesfh.com

Bob was born July 29, 1958, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Arnold Roosevelt Smith and Rosemond Marvel (Edwards) Forberger. Bob lived most of his life in the Washington Community and served in the United States Army.

Bob was a member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church. Bob loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was proud to know the Lord as his Savior. He had a heart for the lost, and would hand out Christian tracks to everyone that he came across. He had compassion for others and was not afraid to stand up for the Lord. He enjoyed assisting with the children's activities and would provide entertainment by dressing up as a clown and making balloon figures.

He is survived by his sister, Cindy Marie Smith of Washington, Iowa; sister, Susan Lynne Hathaway of Rock Island, Illinois; sister, Karen Sue Rheinschmidt and husband Dan of Cape Coral, Florida; sister, Julie Kay Ingersoll and husband Bobby of Lehigh, Florida; brother, William Ray Bragg of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Smith and Rosemond Forberger; brother, Arnold "Arnie" Smith; and sister, Laura Ann Caraotta.
