Rickie Lynn Brown, age 64, of Crawfordsville, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at his residence under hospice care.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date in the Ozarks. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Rickie’s family at www.jonesfh.com. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rickie was born on January 23, 1962, in Gainesville, Missouri, the son of Carl Park and Lois Maxine (Brown) Brown. He attended school in Gainesville, Missouri. Rickie was united in marriage to Brenda Mangold on July 15, 1983, in Iowa City, Iowa. The couple later divorced but remained life partners for 41 years.
Rickie has lived in Crawfordsville since 2019 and lived in Wapello from 2009 until 2019. He worked for Odessa Wood Products in Wapello until health forced his retirement. He loved spending time outdoors where he would often be found cutting firewood, mowing yards and fishing. He enjoyed working on small engines and especially liked caring for his dog, Babe.
He is survived by his life partner, Brenda Brown of Crawfordsville, Iowa; daughter, Bobbie Brown and significant other Ty Branchfield of Burlington, Iowa; daughter, Bridget Brown of Yellville, Arkansas; daughter, Brittney Brown of Chicago, Illinois; son Carl Brown and significant other Mary Martin of Yellville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Steven Saxton, Cameron Brown, Stephenie Saxton, Nirvana Brown, Zackary Brown, Da’Vante Mack, Robert Branchfield, Amirra Clements, Rylee Clements, Alegend Smith, Jayson Brown, Aniya Scott, and Andre Clements Jr. Rickie is also survived by one brother, Scott (Darlene) Brown of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and one sister, Misty Long of Great Bend, Kansas.
Rickie was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lois Brown; and three brothers, Joel Brown, Roy Long and Randy Brown.
