Richard "Dick" B. Waltman, age 86, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Washington County Hospital.

Richard was born January 16, 1937, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Hadley and Lillian (Ross) Waltman. Richard attended White Oak School, West Chester School, and graduated high school from Kirkwood Community College in 2002.

Richard grew up and lived in Washington until 1999, then moved to West Chester. He worked as a detail tech for Don Walker's Chevrolet (then Buckwalters) from 1977 to 2002. He was later a delivery driver for Arnold Motor Supply in Washington, Iowa, until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, watching NASCAR, taking care of his dogs, small trips around in his RV, traveling to Michigan and loved teaching his children about fishing and mushroom hunting. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Green Bay Packers fan.

He is survived by his son, Denis Waltman of Georgia; son, Mark (Amy) Waltman of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Cathy (Tony) Kane of Washington, Iowa; grandsons, Tim Waltman and Richard Waltman III.

Richard was proceeded in death by his daughter, Debbie; son, Richard Waltman Jr.; his parents, and sister Mary Lou Holcomb.
