Richard Curtis "Dick" Snyder, age 79, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, August 7, 2023, at his residence under hospice care.

Richard Curtis Snyder was born October 21, 1943 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Curtis and Blanch (Banks) Snyder. He attended school in Washington, Iowa, graduating from high school in 1963. He was married to Barb Wilson. They later divorced. Dick was united in marriage to Sandy Tolander on December 7, 1974.
Dick was a life resident of Washington, Iowa. He worked at the McCleery Cumming Calendar Factory for 40 years and later worked part time at Hy-Vee. Dick enjoyed working as a Disc Jockey on weekends and in his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Snyder of Washington, Iowa; son, John Snyder and wife Barb of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter, Laura Snyder of Memphis, Michigan; daughter Sandy K. Snyder of Iowa City, Iowa; son, Tony Tolander of Winfield, Iowa; son, Christopher Snyder and fiancé, Marie Clausen of Washington, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Toni Snyder; brother, Melvin Snyder; three sisters, Wilma Thompson, Virginia Swartzendruber and Lola Hammer.
