Rhonda Hesseltine, age 66, of Crawfordsville, Iowa, died Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the Mary Marr Lodge at Marr Park in Ainsworth, Iowa with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. There will be a light lunch served at noon. Memorials have been established for Hawkeye Cans for Cancer to assist with expenses of cancer patients. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Rhonda was born February 5, 1954, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Kermit Charles and Patricia (Edgar) Jenkins. She graduated from Highland High School in 1972 and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, for one year. Rhonda was united in marriage to Dale Hesseltine on June 5, 1997.
Rhonda worked for 40 years at Sheller Globe/Lear/IAC in Iowa City, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Hesseltine of Crawfordsville, Iowa; son, Jeremy Morrison and wife Margaret of Leesburg, Indiana; two grandsons, Noah and Nile Morrison; mother, Pat Jenkins of Washington, Iowa; brother, Roger (Gail) Jenkins of Robstown, Texas; brother, Rick (Nancy) Jenkins of Ainsworth, Iowa; brother, Randy Jenkins of Ainsworth, Iowa; brother, Russ Jenkins of Warner Robins, Georgia. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Lyle (Carol) Hesseltine; sisters-in-law, Karen Zickefoose, Connie Waterhouse and Sue (Jack) Woodard; step children: Angela Bevins, Travis Hesseltine, Allison Neuzil and Ardie Brock. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father Kerm Jenkins in 2018; Parents-in-law, Irvan and Freida Hesseltine; grandparents, Bill & Alice Edgar and Charles & Ruth Jenkins; sister-in-law, Linda Henderson; uncles and aunts, Quentin and Dorothy Jenkins, Harlan Edgar, Sam Edgar, and Linda Wheaton.
