Raymond G. Job, age 80, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin noon Friday at the Jones & Eden Funeral where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:30 pm. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date. Raymond was born April 14, 1937 in Bowdle, South Dakota, the son of Gustave and Magdelina (Kallenberger) Job. He graduated from Hosmer High School in South Dakota and attended Telegraphy School in Pueblo, Colorado. Raymond was united in marriage to Pauline E. Haynes on December 18, 1985 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Due to his love of trains, Raymond worked for the railroad for 35 years. He also enjoyed traveling, wrestling, music, cars and motorcycles.
He is survived by children: Rodney Job of Aberdeen, SD; Brenda (George) Mayrose of Palisades, CO; Tim Job of Washington, IA; Mike Job of Sigourney, IA; Matt Job of Coralville, IA; David Haynes of Washington, IA; Tina (Rob) Burke of Atlanta, GA; Steve Haynes of Washington, IA; Tim (Brenda) Haynes of Washington, IA; foster children: Courtney Bugley of Burlington, IA; and Timothy Mehrens of Washington, IA; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents in 1987 and his wife in 2007.
