Randal L. "Randy" McKinsey, age 55, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, Iowa at a later date. Randy was born April 27, 1958 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the son of Wilbur L. and Beverly (Miller) McKinsey. He attended school in Wayland, Iowa and graduated from WACO High School. He had lived in Washington for the past thirty years.
Randy worked as a farm hand, loading turkeys, and also provided janitorial services through WCDC.
He attended the First Baptist Church in Washington. He enjoyed fishing, and he was always searching for treasures. He was a fan of both Superman and Elvis.
Randy is survived by step-father Forest Christner and wife Trilla of Ollie, Iowa; brother Raymond McKinsey of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and half-sister Kim Bodkins of Iowa City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ronell McKinsey; and half-sister Tammy Christner.
