Phyllis J. Doggett, age 88, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the United Presbyterian Home.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Chaplain Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Calling hours will begin 9:00 a.m. Friday, March 23rd, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Phyllis was born March 30, 1929, in Delta, Iowa, the daughter of James A. and Luella E. (Adams) Garrett. She attended school in Oskaloosa graduating in 1947. Phyllis was united in marriage to Dale E. Doggett on October 26, 1947, Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Phyllis was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Temple 68, and the Sew-ettes Social Club. Phyllis enjoyed homemaking and wintering in Florida. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed the companionship of her Yorkie, Keeper.

She is survived by daughter, Deborah Kilbourn and husband Randall of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Linda Dougall and husband Denny of Washington, Iowa; son, Fred Doggett and wife Cheri of Washington, Iowa; three grandchildren: Katy Straughter, Kelly Dougall, Austin Doggett; and seven great grandchildren: Grace, Alivia, Frankie, Kaden, Addyson, Benjamin and Amya.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale in 2004; and two sisters, Helen Mitchell and Doris Mich.
