Patricia Louise "Pat" Sieren Richard, age 63, of Brighton, Iowa, died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland, Iowa, with Pastor Nathan Luitjen and Fr. Troy Richmond officiating. Calling hours will be from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Sugar Creek Cemetery. Pat was born March 30, 1955, at the Washington County Hospital, the daughter of Cletus and Loretta (Bruegge) Sieren. She grew up in Brighton, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Daniel Lee "Grizz" Richard on December 27, 1977, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, Iowa.

Pat worked at the Washington Care Center, currently Pearl Valley Nursing and Rehab, for 41 years and worked at Walmart for 19 years. Besides her love for work, Pat enjoyed doing things for her family. She enjoyed traveling, and taking care of her plants and flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel "Grizz " Richard of Brighton, Iowa; daughter, Melissa McElwee and husband Nate of Brighton, Iowa; daughter, Heather Waltman and partner Ryan Schmitt of Fairfield, Iowa; daughter, Stacey Chenoweth and husband Mark of Washington, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Courtney, Stephanie, Brittany, Emma, Mark, Danny, and Daniel Lee; sister, Shirley Sieren of Brighton, Iowa; sister, Sharon Nicholson and husband Claude of Fairfield, Iowa; sister, Linda Franzen and husband Dennis of Washington, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece and one nephew.
