Pamela J. Kane, age 66, of Washington, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Nancy Oehler-Love officiating. Visitation will begin noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Pam was born April 28, 1949 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of George and Ardith (Jarrard) McGuire. She graduated from Washington High School in 1967. Pam was united in marriage to William Kane on October 28, 1967 in Washington, Iowa.

Pam worked in the advertising department at the Washington Journal until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, knitting and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Kane of Washington, IA; daughter, Teresa Thompson and husband Troy of Mt. Pleasant, IA; daughter, Tina McCraw and husband Michael of Des Moines, IA; son, Michael Kane and wife Cathy of Washington, IA; daughter, Laura Lindley and husband Rick of Oskaloosa, IA; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Tim and Seth Coakley, Victoria Bennett, Chaely and Kay Thompson, Bethany Nicole Ritchie and Amber Lindley; brother, Mike McGuire and wife Vickie of Washington, IA; sister, Kathy Coakley and husband Jon of Washington, IA; and sister, Marcia Burgoni and husband Doug of Bakersfield, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Pat Fisher.
