Norman L. Walker, age 59, of West Chester, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at his residence.

A gathering to celebrate Norman's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the West Chester School Pavilion in West Chester, Iowa. A general memorial has been established. Norman was born May 28, 1964, in San Bernadino, California, the son of Robert Lee and Barbara Jean (Hesson) Walker. He attended school in Glendale, California. Norman was united in marriage to Theresa Miller on September 27, 2012.

Norman lived in California until moving to Oskaloosa, Iowa, in 1993. He worked at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella for 16 years. He enjoyed camping, watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs, Grizz, Miska, Callie and Bussie.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Walker of West Chester, Iowa; daughter, Cynthia Walker, son, Jeffrey Walker and son, Brian Walker all of Des Moines, Iowa; stepsons, Justin Banks and Lonnie Banks of West Chester, Iowa; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; mother, Barbara Jean Walker Thomas of Banning, California; brother, Rob (Jessica) Walker of Des Moines, Iowa; and brother, Dennis (Rose) Walker of California.

Norman was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather.
