Norma Jean Beauchamp, age 89, of Washington, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Halcyon House in Washington.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Washington County Hospice and for the United Presbyterian Church. Norma Jean Beauchamp was born December 4, 1925 in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Claud B. and Ora Gertrude (Wolf) Rhodebeck. She was united in marriage to Leo Glenn Beauchamp on December 10, 1944 in Selma, California.
Norma grew up and lived in Washington most of her life. After graduating high school, she attended Iowa Success Business College. Norma was a bookkeeper for the family business. She was a faithful member of the United Presbyterian Church and active in Presbyterian Women. Norma was a member of Eastern Star since 1944. She volunteered with Rainbow Girls, receiving the Grand Cross of Colors Award, and with Cub Scouts.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Beauchamp and wife Rita of Arlington, Iowa; daughter, Barbara Renken of Bella Vista, Arkansas; son, Thomas Beauchamp and wife Sandy of Washington, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Gerling of Winfield, Iowa; sister, Mary McCall of Washington, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Doris Johnston of Fairfield, Iowa.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2005, daughter, Judy Moore and son-in-law, Gene Renken.
