Nancy Rodriguez, age 33, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, August 5th, at her residence following a two year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the Iglesia Mennonite Centro Christiano with Pastor Ramiro Hernandez officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Nancy was born June 19, 1984, in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico. She attended school in Mexico. Nancy was united in marriage to Jose Amezquita in January of 2000.

Nancy has resided in Washington for the past 14 years where she was employed at JWV Pork. She was a member of Iglesia Mennonite Centro Christiano and liked to go shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Amezquita of Washington, Iowa; four children, Edgar, Dayana, Mia and Joshua all at home; mother, Estella Rodriguez of Washington, Iowa; brother, Raul (Rosillo) Rodriguez of Houston, Texas; brother, Raynaldo (Lourdes) Rodriguez of Northfolk, Nebraska; brother, Rafael (Lilia) Rodriguez of Guanajuato, Mexico; brother, Alejandro (Adriana) Rodriguez of Guanajuato, Mexico; sister, Estela (Roberto) Arreola of Washington, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Rodriguez; and four brothers, Adrian, Miguel, Carlos and Juan Carlos Rodriguez.
