Obituary

Nancy Ann Noel, age 65, of South English, Iowa, passed away in her sleep after a sudden illness on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in South English, Iowa, with Pastor Kathy Warfield officiating. A general memorial has been established. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements. Nancy Ann Lowry was born July 16, 1957, in Clovis, New Mexico, the daughter of Jesse and Beverly (Charlton) Lowry. She grew up in Missouri and Iowa. Nancy was united in marriage to Harrison White in 1973. She was later united in marriage to Michael Noel on January 7, 1989, in Iowa City, Iowa. They shared the following children: Beth (John) Lindsey of Davenport, Iowa; Michael Noel Jr. of Washugal, Washington; Charles White and girlfriend Mary Owens of South English, Iowa; Breha (David) Finch of Sigourney, Iowa; Nathan Noel of South English, Iowa; Barbara (Travis) Potter of South English, Iowa; bonus daughter, Ashley Franco of Emporia, Kansas; 26 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Nancy was a lover of all things Reba and Betty Boop. She was an enthusiastic rock collector and she enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her children and grandchildren. When her health began to fail, she enjoyed her shows with Mike, with a special affinity for George Stephanopoulus. She enjoyed snuggling with her special dog, Bella and her kitties.

She is survived by her husband Mike of 33 years, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sister, Jane (Dwight) Flint of Hannibal, Missouri; brother, Doug Lowry of Kansas City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam, Travis, Jimmy, Erma, Jenny, Cindy, and Barb White along with her special friend, Pastor Kathy Warfield along with her extended church family and her devoted companion, Bella.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ryan; ex-husband, Harrison White; special aunt, Barb Brandon; sister-in-law, Betty White; brother-in-law, Elvis White; and daughter-in-law, Missy Noel.
