Nancy Jane McClain, age 88, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, Iowa.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials have been established for the Central Park Bandstand or the Central Park Fountain. Nancy was born on May 8, 1938, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of John and Iona June (Willis) Pehler. She attended school in Washington, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Washington, Iowa, and worked in retail sales for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Nancy is survived by her son, Timothy Joe McClain of Waterloo, Iowa; two grandsons: Timothy Joe McClain II and Andrew John McClain; and three great grandsons: Alexander Scott McClain, Bennett John McClain and Timothy Joe McClain III.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and June Pehler; one brother, Frederick Allen Pehler; and one sister, Patricia Ann Coon.
