Nancy L. Anderson, age 66, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at her son's residence in Washington after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Nancy Lavon Anderson was born July 22, 1945 in Mediapolis, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Florence (Coppes) Connolly. She attended school in Wapello, Iowa. Nancy was united in marriage to Eugene Anderson on April 23, 1965 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Nancy had resided in Abilene, Texas and Temple, Texas before returning to Washington, where she had resided since 1977. She was employed by Ross Manufacturing and the Country Lane Foods in Frytown, Iowa.
Nancy was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a woman of great faith who loved her church. Nancy was an animal lover, a skilled quilter, and she enjoyed doing handiwork around the house. She lived for spending time with her grandchildren, and she enjoyed her annual sisters' parties.
She is survived by her husband Gene, of Washington; three sons: Eugene Anderson of Anamosa; Shane Anderson and wife Teresa of Washington; and Lowell Anderson and wife Bridget of Coralville; five grand-children: Kyle, Hannah, Cole, Evan, and Zoey Anderson all at home; brother Larry Connolly and wife Lila of Wapello; sister Evelyn Bielser and husband Willie of Gladstone, Illinois; sister Dorothy Malcom and husband John of Wapello; sister Colleen Walker and husband Larry of Wapello; sister Daisey Seitz and husband Earl of Gladstone, Illinois; sister Patricia Smith and husband Carl of Macomb, Illinois; sister Karen Zippe and husband Glen of Burlington; sister Sharon Jennings and husband Tom of Mount Union; sister Marsha Robertson and friend Doug Boyd of Columbus Junction; brother Omar Connolly and wife Phyllis of Wapello; and sister Carmal Allworth and husband Tom of Wapello; special Uncle Curtis Coppes and wife Aunt Shirley of Yarmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
