Myra Jane Farrier, age 61, of Ainsworth, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at her daughter's residence under Hospice care. Myra had been seriously ill for the past 2 weeks.

Celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Marty Frazer officiating. Visitation beings at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, where family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Sandy Hook Cemetery. Myra was born July 16, 1962, in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley and Nellie (Goff) Showman. She graduated from English Valley High School in 1980. She was united in marriage to Clarence Farrier Jr. on March 10, 1984 in South English, Iowa.

Myra worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the United Presbyterian Home and Washington Care Center, until retiring in 2015. She enjoyed crafting, mushroom hunting, sewing, reading, and most of all, her grandchildren and their events, especially 4-H and football.

She is survived by daughter, Rebecca (Paul) Pacha of Brighton, Iowa; daughter, Ashley (Steven) Pacha of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Ana Farrier of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Misty Farrier of Monroe City, Missouri; daughter, Monica Farrier of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Lauren (Jake) Fowler of Richland, Iowa; daughter Christina (Kenny) Frederick of Manchester, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; step-mother, Lois Showman of Columbus Junction, Iowa; sister, Beth (Dave) Reid of Washington, Iowa; brother, Roger Showman of Rockford, Iowa; brother, Gary Showman of Washington, Iowa; sister, Jennifer (Calvin) Hurlbut of Columbus Junction, Iowa; special friend, Butch; brother-in-law, Andrew (Kathy) Farrier of Wayland, Iowa; sister-in-law, Sally Farrier of Washington, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband in 2017; parents; son, Timothy Schafer; grandson, Ryan Schafer; sister-in-law, Jane Bailey; sister-in-law, Alice Smith; brother-in-law, Donnie Farrier Sr.
