Minnie M. Stoner, age 82, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Minnie was born December 19, 1935 in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Large) McClain. She attended school in Illinois and was united in marriage to Abraham Stoner in Illinois. Minnie was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, quilting, sewing and long walks.

She is survived by her children: Brenda McClean, Gladys (John) Osborn, Alice Stoner, Abe Stoner and Joe Stoner, all of Washington, IA and Steve Stoner of Davenport, IA; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bobby McClain of Eugene, OR.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Shirley Stoner; and 6 siblings.
