Mildred C. TeBockhorst, age 91, of Washington, Iowa died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington following a short illness.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Fr. Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will begin 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Prayer services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Richmond, Iowa. Memorials have been established for St. James Parish, M.L. McCreedy Home or Washington County Hospice. Mildred was born November 16, 1919 in Henry County, Iowa the daughter of Clark and Estella (Messer) Loder. She gradated from Wayland High School in 1939. Mildred was united in marriage to Paul TeBockhorst on April 19, 1941 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, Iowa.
Mildred was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his Electrolux Business. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Mildred belonged to the "Sewettes" Social Club and enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers and doing crafts.
She is survived by three children; daughter Janet Page and husband Skip of Prescot Valley, Arizona; daughter Judy Sieren and husband Gary of Washington, Iowa; son John TeBockhorst and wife Jackie of Washington, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Wendell Loder of Rock Island, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, three brothers – Wallace, Milford and Wymond Loder, as well as two sisters Lillian Loder and Leona Schumann.
