Mike Daniel Tusing, age 52, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin at noon on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery. Mike was born August 2, 1968 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Cecil and Mary Dell (Kerr) Tusing. He attended school in Washington. Mike was united in marriage to Beth Ellen Westra in 1991 and later divorced.

Mike lived in the Washington area his entire life. He worked for the Washington County Secondary Roads Department. He enjoyed muscle cars, motorcycles, attending drag racing, and shooting guns at the range.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Tanya Hesseltine of Washington, IA; daughter, Jessica Colby and husband Clayton of Washington, IA; son, Delen Tusing and girlfriend Rachel Baumert of Coralville, IA; daughter, Kylea Malloy of Crawfordsville, IA; daughter, Katie Van Amerongen and husband Wilson of New London, IA; grandchildren: Carter, Chance, Christian and Kinley Colby, and Hadley and Carson Van Amerongen; siblings: Arnie Leasure and wife Beth of Washington, IA; Lori Wixom of Keota, IA; Hank Tusing and wife Crystal Herbert of Keota, IA; and Eric Tusing of Crawfordsville, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two nephews: Eric and Tristan; and great-niece, Addalynn.
