Michael L. “Mike” Noel, age 73, of South English, Iowa, passed away, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with heart and lung disease.

Celebration of life services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Lake Belva Deer Park in Sigourney, Iowa. A private family interment will take place in South English, Iowa. A general memorial has been established. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements. Michael LeWayne Noel was born July 2, 1952, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Robert and Deloris (DeCoster) Noel. He attended school in Moline, Iowa, where he graduated from Moline High School. Mike furthered his education at Kirkwood Community College where he received his Nurses training. He was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Lowry on January 7, 1989, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Mike was a jack of all trades but was most proud of his career as a Registered Nurse for the past 35 years, until his health forced his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to local watering holes to drown worms. Mike also collected old vehicles and was a swap-and-barter master.

Mike is survived by Beth (John) Lindsey of Davenport, Iowa; Michael Noel Jr. of South English, Iowa; Charles White and girlfriend Mary Owens of South English, Iowa; Breha Finch of South English, Iowa; Nathan Noel of South English, Iowa; Barbara (Travis) Potter of South English, Iowa; bonus daughter, Ashley Franco of Emporia, Kansas; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; along with one brother and one sister.

He was preceded in death by father, Robert (Jimmie) Noel; mother, Deloris (Norman) Armstrong; infant brother, David Noel; sister, Patty Overton; brother, James Noel; brother, Bobby Stillwell; great-grandson, Finnehgan Xavier Noel; great-granddaughter, Sophia; and one other great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Missy Noel; and son-in-law, David Finch.
