Michael Larry "Beeny" Beenblossom, age 56, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, south of Washington from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date. A general memorial has been established. Michael was born December 5, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Larry Dale and Gladys Marie (Palmer) Beenblossom. He attended school in Washington, Iowa.

Mike worked at EPC in Kalona, Iowa, for the past two years and had previously worked at Engineered Building Designs and ACH Foam in Washington, Iowa. He was a true "motorhead" and loved anything that had a motor attached to it. He loved working on his Camaro's, mowing with his John Deere and going on motorcycle rides. Mike was an avid NASCAR fan. He cherished his family and the time they spent together.

He is survived by his partner, Cherie Musgrove of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Kara Beenblossom of Washington, Iowa; mother, Gladys Beenblossom of Washington, Iowa; father, Larry Beenblossom of Inverness, Florida; sister, Sherry Beenblossom of Washington, Iowa; sister, Cindy Martin of Wayland, Iowa; brother, Jeff Beenblossom of Chiefland, Florida; sister, Tammy Starr and husband Scott of Wayland, Iowa; sister, Chrissy Dunham and husband Chris of Colorado as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Tony Martin, Dub Lister and Scott Brackin.
