Mary Therese Weber, age 80 of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the M.L. McCreedy Home.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will begin noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. A prayer and rosary service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at St. James Catholic Church prior to the funeral mass. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Parnell, Iowa. Memorials have been established to Hospice of Washington County or St. James Catholic Church. Mary Therese Weber was born May 3, 1931 in Parnell, Iowa the daughter of Daniel and Catherine Loretta (Weldon) McCarty. She graduated from Parnell High School in Parnell, Iowa. Therese was united in marriage to Cletus Weber on June 2, 1959 in Parnell, Iowa.
Therese had been a resident of Washington since 1990. She was a homemaker and housekeeper for the Washington West Motel and the Washington Care Center. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Parnell, Iowa. She enjoyed taking care of her family and grandchildren.
Therese is survived by her son Dan Weber and wife Andrea of Newhall, Iowa; daughter Mary Nebel and husband Jim of Washington, Iowa; four grandchildren: Olivia Weber, Brandon Weber, Zach Nebel, and Bridget Nebel; and brother, James McCarty of Parnell, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cletus in 1981, brother Paul McCarty, and sisters Bernadette Long and Peg Crane.
