Mary Ellen Jeffries, age 83, of Washington, Iowa died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Vintage Hills Cooperative in Ankeny, Iowa after a lengthy illness.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Carlson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Mary was born December 10, 1929 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of John and Florence (Gross) Erlenbush. She graduated from Washington High School. She was united in marriage to Leland D. Jeffries on January 18, 1953.

Mary had been a resident of Washington all of her life until moving to Ankeny, Iowa in September of 2012. She was a homemaker.

Mary is survived by husband Leland Jeffries of Washington, Iowa; daughter Denise Albright and husband Mark of Ankeny, Iowa; and two granddaughters: Stephanie Albright of Des Moines, Iowa and Jennifer Vogt and husband Colin of Bolivar, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald Erlenbush; brother Chris Erlenbush; sister Helen Rathmel; brother Ralph Erlenbush; brother Robert Erlenbush; and sister Ruth Goodwin.
