Mary Hazel Trower Holmes, age 100, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the United Presbyterian Home.

Mary was born August 7, 1920 in Corso, Missouri, the daughter of William S. and Marqueritte M. (Parson) Trower. She was united in marriage to Robert G. Holmes on August 23, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mary worked as a nurse for 20 years and was the Director of Nursing at the United Presbyterian Home for many years.
She is survived by her son, son, Joseph H. Holmes and wife Glenda of Friendsville, TN; sister, Mildred (Millie) Ramsey; brother Frank Trower; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Robert L. Holmes and siblings: Kenneth Trower, J. Joseph Trower.
