Martha Elizabeth Triska, age 77, of Des Moines, Iowa, died Monday, May 30th at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following a short illness.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Fr. Troy Richmond officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington. Martha was born February 4, 1934 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Charles Albert and Teresa(Schmitz) De Wees. She attended school in Washington, Iowa. On March 20, 1951 she was united in marriage to Frank Anthony Triska in Norwalk, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Martha was a homemaker and worked at the Washington County Developmental Center for nearly 15 years. She enjoyed her family and taking care of her cats.

She is survived by three children including son Franklin Triska Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa; son Robert L. Triska of Chula, Missouri; Daughter Judy Wind of Cass Lake, Minnesota; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Rose Ella Van Ness of Washington, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1978, 2 infant brothers, sister Mary Owens, brother William De Wees, brother Lawrence De Wees, and a sister Marjorie Triska.
