Marlene, fondly known as "Cathy" McKeone, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 26, 2011.

Cathy was the second oldest daughter of the late Emil Drajeske and late Yustyna "Tina" (Timchuk) Drajeske. Cathy was born in Winnepeg, Manitoba Canada on September 2, 1941 and moved with her family in 1955 to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a young woman, Cathy made her final home in Washington, Iowa.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband of twenty three years, Tom McKeone, and son Verlin Thomas Hill. Cathy was a sister to Joyce Schallock, Lynda Downer, Karen Artin and husband Dave, the late Ken Drajeske, and the late Bob Drajeske. She was the loving grandmother to Amanda, Cheyanne, Samantha, and Jacob. Stepmother to the late Mike McKeone, the late Charlotte McKeone, Tom J. McKeone and wife Alexandra, Jim McKeone and wife Medea, and step grandmother to Alyssa, Allyson and Abigail McKeone and Anna Barthelman.

Cathy was treasured by her family and friends, which included many nieces and nephews. Cathy had a special interest in genealogy. According to Cathy's wishes, no memorial services will be held. In continuing her dedication to helping others, Cathy has donated her body to the Iowa Medical College. Donations in memory of Cathy can be made to Washington County Hospice.
