Marion L. Reeves, age 91, of Phoenix, Arizona, originally of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona. Services and burial will be at a later date at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Reeves was born September 17, 1922 in Washington County, Iowa, the only child of John and Etta Reeves. He married Doris Custer in 1943.
Marion graduated from Washington High School. After a number of years of living in Des Moines, he and his wife moved to Lodi, California, a suburb of Sacramento, in 1955. The resided there for 57 years. Marion was in the wholesale hardware and housewares business. In 2012, he and his wife moved to a senior retirment community in Phoenix, Arizona.
Surviving are his wife, Doris of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, John Reeves of Scottsdale, Arizona; and three grandsons.
