Margelia L. "Marge" McClure, age 69, of Washington, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Hospice House of Johnson County in Iowa City.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with services conducted by John Tolander. Interment will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established for the Hospice House of Johnson County (Bird House). Marge was born December 27, 1946 in Melbourne, Florida, the daughter of Wallace and Betty (Zellweger) Beitl. She graduated from Edgewater High School in College Park, Florida. Marge was united in marriage to Dan McClure on August 28, 1965, in College Park, Florida.

Marge has been a resident of Washington since 1995. She was a Bank Manager at U.S. Bank in Washington until her retirement. Her passion in life was working with youth. She enjoyed crafts and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Dan McClure of Washington, IA; daughter, Pam Thomas and husband Steve of Washington, IA; son, Shawn McClure of Lakeland, FL; three grandchildren: Christopher Heron, Johnathan McClure and Lynda McClure; sister, Karen Finnell of Franklin, NC; and brother, Wallace Beitl of Orlando, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
