Marcie was born January 26, 1934 in Washington County. She was the fifth child of Rev. Samuel Edward Bowser and Matilda Ann (Brewer) Bowser.

Marcie grew up in the West Chester community and graduated from West Chester Consolidated School in 1952. It was during high school that the classic story of a cheerleader catching the eye of a football player sparked the beginning of a 64-year marriage.

Marcie was married to Loren "Skip" B. Renoux on September 10, 1952 at the Washington Methodist Church Chapel in Washington, Iowa. The couple moved to a family farm where Marcie was a homemaker. They later resided in Washington where Marcie worked as a bookkeeper at Everett's Music and Marshall Furniture from which she retired in 1995. After Skip's retirement the couple purchased a second home in Mission, Texas, and spent the winters enjoying time with fellow snow-birds in the warmth of the south. They would often call north to relay the current Texas temp.

Marcie enjoyed being outdoors and could be found either in her garden, playing golf or volunteering her landscaping talents at the Washington Golf and Country Club. She sewed and knitted and became quite the doll-maker, selling her dolls at Country Livin gift shop in Kalona. She liked to entertain and her recipes were creative and elusive to those that asked. She would smile and say she just used a little of this and little of that. Her food was enjoyed by all as well as her hospitality. Food and fireworks on the 4th of July were a Lake Trio summer highlight.

Marcie is survived by her husband, Skip of Washington, Iowa; son Ron (Sherry) Renoux of Richland, Terry (Wendy) Renoux of Somerville, TN, grandchildren Shaylee Marie Renoux (Brandon) House, Daniel J Renoux, Margaret Rose Renoux, Lauren Renoux (Bryan) Zielinski, great grandsons Cole, Cash and Rowdy, step great grandchild Cheyenne and great granddaughter Gwendolyn Winnie. She is also survived by sister Shirley Curtis of Apache Junction, AZ, brother Ronald Bowser of West Chester, Mary (Dick) Schlatter of Kalona and June (Bob) Dewar of Newton.

Marcie is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Matilda, her son Daniel Joseph Renoux, her grandson Andrew Lee Renoux and sisters Fern Bowser and Roslyn McFadden.
The family wishes to thank McCreedy Home for their care of Marcie this past year and also Hospice of Washington County.
