Lynn McConnell, age 95, of Jefferson, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa.

Memorial services and interment will be held at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Hershey, Nebraska. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home of Washington, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for Lynn's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com .

Lynn was born August 8, 1923 in Hershey, Nebraska, the son of Mark and Lucina (Palmer) McConnell. He graduated from O'Fallon's High School in 1940. On November 5, 1944, Lynn was united in marriage to Dora Ann McConnell in Sutherland, Nebraska. He and Dora moved to Boone County, Iowa, in 1963 where they farmed for fourteen years. Lynn also worked as a salesman for Pride Seeds, a division of Northrup King. The couple moved to Washington, Iowa, nearly forty years ago and recently moved to Jefferson.

Lynn is survived by three sons, Lyle (Candice) McConnell of Mediapolis, Iowa; James (Susan) McConnell of Ogden, Iowa; Fay (Melody) McConnell of Stanley, Virginia; seven grandsons; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora, in 2018; infant brother, Loren McConnell; and brother, George McConnell.
