Louise Dougall, age 102, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Fr. Bernie Weir officiating. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established or the United Presbyterian Home and St. James Catholic Church. Louise was born October 30, 1918 in Madison County, Iowa, the daughter of John W. and Elsie M. (Selix) Cox. She attended school in Ottumwa. Louise was united in marriage to Hugh "Mac" Dougall on June 17, 1939 in Washington, Iowa.
Louise moved to Washington in 1934 and worked for her half-brother at the Maid Rite Café. She and her husband owned and operated various cafes in town and eventually worked for McCleery Cumming Company until retirement. Louise was an active member of St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Hugh Dougall and wife Jane of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren: Lisa Lynn Hanson and husband Che of Clarion, IA; Steven Dougall and wife Jen of Coon Rapids, IA; and Brian Dougall and wife Lisa of Marshalltown, IA; great-grandchildren: Isaac and Seth Pille, Rachel (TJ) Stumpf, Connor, Sam, Madison, and Mylie Dougall, Caleb, Cassie, Camden, Caden and Chloe Hanson, and Jacob, Nathan and Lauren Derner; great-great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Lincoln and Hudson Stumpf; and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-grandson, Nathan Pille; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and 1 half-brother.
